3. Where your data is stored
Form submissions are stored in a Google Sheet in our Google account and we receive an email alert in our Gmail inbox. WhatsApp messages stay in WhatsApp. Google and WhatsApp (Meta) may store data on servers outside India; they protect it under their own security and privacy terms. Only authorised people at Kovai Lakshmi Grinders can see your data.
4. How long we keep it
- Inquiries that do not lead to a purchase: up to 2 years from your last contact, then deleted.
- Customer records (orders, invoices, warranty and service history): for as long as the law requires us to keep them (generally up to 8 years for tax and accounting records).
- Google Analytics data: kept for the period set in our Google Analytics account (14 months).
We delete your data earlier if you ask us to, unless the law requires us to keep it.
5. We never sell your data
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We share it only with the service providers listed below (to run the Website and reply to you), with our delivery or installation partners when needed to complete your order, or with authorities when the law requires it.
6. Third-party services

- Google Maps – the map on our Contact Us page (Google LLC).
- Google Sheets, Apps Script and Gmail – storing form submissions and sending us email alerts (Google LLC).
- YouTube – product videos (Google LLC). A video player loads only when you click play.
- WhatsApp – chat with our team (Meta Platforms).
- GitHub Pages – hosting the Website (GitHub, Inc.), which may record technical data such as IP addresses for security.
These services have their own privacy policies, which apply when you use them.
7. Cookies
The Website itself does not set advertising cookies. Google Analytics uses cookies to count visits and understand how the Website is used. Google Maps and YouTube may set their own cookies when their content loads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The Website will still work if you do.
8. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:
- Access – ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
- Correction – ask us to correct, complete or update your data.
- Erasure – ask us to delete your data when it is no longer needed for the purpose you gave it, unless the law requires us to keep it.
- Withdraw consent – stop us using your data at any time. This does not affect anything we did before you withdrew.
- Grievance redressal – complain to us, and if you are not satisfied, to the Data Protection Board of India.
- Nominate – name a person who can use these rights for you in case of death or incapacity.

9. Security
We use reasonable security measures: the Website runs on HTTPS, form data goes directly to our Google account, and access is limited to authorised staff. No method of sending data over the internet is fully secure, but we work to protect your data and will inform you and the authorities as the law requires if a breach affects you.
10. Children
The Website is meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us data, please contact us and we will delete it.
